Emerging AWE

Full Website Design and Build + Logo Design + Basic SEO + Maintenance

What she needed:

Amy offers one of the most unique services I’ve ever heard of: with a background and continued fondness for Catholicism, she provides spiritual guidance for those whose conventional religion may now feel limiting, or for anyone who would just like a companion to walk with along the spiritual path. She’s also a writer, speaker, and she facilitates corporate programs and retreats for groups and individuals.

I couldn’t contain my passion for talking shop and collaborating with another creative woman entrepreneur, so of course we talked about a website, but also about business, software, processes, entrepreneuring in general, and swapped recommendations. In the end we did make a website and more, but across a whole country and with the help of a few Zoom meetings — (cue cheesy alert) — we also became friends.

Client: Emerging AWE | Industry: Spiritual Guidance

What we did:

We started by selecting a color palette and fonts, and then we took our time finding the right images that meshed with Amy’s own photos. As we organized her life’s work into pages and tabs, we saw her flagship website beginning to emerge, including a bunch of glowing client testimonials, a blog for her written meditations, and spoken word recordings for those who prefer to listen to their guidance. In the end, we made her a website, a logo, and some print designs so she could distribute postcards and advertise her work. We coded in some gentle motion and kept the vibe warm and welcoming.

And this is such a satisfying Contact Page

All courtesy of our good friends in the custom code family, including JavaScript, CSS, iFrames with embedded HTML, really all kinds of bells and whistles. Give it a click to watch, this one’s a video. 👇🏼

Creating Amy’s Logo

Amy’s logo came from a painting she made that’s featured in a few subtle places throughout her website. You can see it in her footer and alternating in the backgrounds of some of her offerings. Here’s a look at her original painting and the logo it inspired:

Coding in some Motion

All that was left was to make things gently pop, and to do that we gave her logo a subtle spin on entry and coded in a gentle zoom effect on each page for her header background images.

Her site just feels so cozy.

And how about you? Does your website need some love?
Let’s start your project.
